Many of these vases sat untouched for decades — dusty, forgotten, unused. Yet in the hands of a skilled ikebanist, they return to life. What first appears as an abandoned object can become something strikingly contemporary and beautiful through the practice of ikebana. This particular vase was hand carried to Belgium from Japan by Ilse Beunen.
