A white pedestal vase with a flared aperture. Calligraphy brush styled olive vertical stripes follow the upward curves and converge around the central opening, emphasising the vessel’s flared sculptural construction. An odd feature is this is a suiban vase with a flat well interior which has a central hole exposing the hollow pedestal foot interior. The vase is stamped to the base.
As a vintage piece, it may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks and minor staining. The photographs provide further detail on its condition and appearance.
