Ivory Moat
A significantly large-scale Shigaraki-ware vase formed as a deep, continuous horseshoe-shaped well with a broad curved base and sharply rising pointed ends. The ivory glaze has a softly mottled, rustic finish with natural firing variation. An abstract motif on the outer fascia combines a rough, aggregate-like relief with a single sweeping incised line.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
