Ivory Keyhole

$105.00 AUD

1966 Ivory Keyhole

A modern day relic from 1966 - a circular bud vase with a central keyhole aperture, short cylindrical neck and discreet foot. The geometric flask-like form is finished in a finely speckled ivory glaze. The base has gold Japanese font explaining this vase commemorates the completion of a new gymnasium at Gifu Women’s Junior College in March 1966 so it's 60 years old. This would have been a very modernist form for the era.

Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. The photographs provide further detail on the individual character and condition of the piece.
