Turquoise Grid
A rounded pedestal vase with a broad upper body and gently flared foot. Repeated rectangular reliefs form an architectural grid across the turquoise surface, accentuated by darker glaze gathering within the recessed lines. The base has a clear kiln stamp. We are always look out for vases made by this now-defunct kiln. Their forms were very avant-garde and abstract.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. The photographs provide further detail on the individual character and condition of the piece.
