White Wave
A slender sculptural vase with an undulating upright form, twin openings and ribbed white surface. Its flowing asymmetry reflects the experimental, avant-garde direction of postwar ikebana design. This now-defunct kiln from Tokoname made a series of vases with this construded pipe constriction. This model still retains the original kiln sticker.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. The photographs provide further detail on the individual character and condition of the piece.
