White Twin Horn
A tall sculptural ceramic vase formed as two slender curving horns and finished in textured white. The forked silhouette has an expressive, avant-garde quality suited to strongly linear arrangements.
Made by a now-defunct ikebana kiln last century in Tokoname, this faux marble glaze was their proprietary mix of a combination of white glazes. This was not a common form but the modernist appeal is visually evident in the broad sweeping curves.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. The photographs provide further detail on the individual character and condition of the piece.
