Leaf Relief
A low triangular ikebana trough with angled ends and a muted beige-grey surface. Applied leaf motifs punctuate the restrained geometric body, introducing an organic counterpoint to its firm architectural lines. The well interior has a contrasting crackled glass effect and the well fascia is matte and striated. Over the years, I have found this matte and grotty look is coveted amongst US west coast / Californian modernists. This old and significant piece has the modernist look in spades.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. These qualities reflect the history and individual character of each piece.
