Turquoise Pebble
Rounded biomorphic form with a broad, irregular flower opening and 2 strange abstract appendages at the rim and top of the piece. The mottled turquoise and deep green glaze is matte, pockmarked, and intentionally absent in places, giving the surface a weathered, sculptural presence.
Sourced after a 12-hour drive north to collect a lifetime archive from a career ikebana instructor on her retirement. This is a form distilled by decades of use — strange, abstract, and unmistakably of its era.
