Brown Column
A tall brown columnar form with an irregularly worked surface and restrained vertical profile. The earthy finish and monolithic geometry give it a quiet brutalist presence. This is a hand made studio poetry piece with mottled glaze and a kiln stamp on the base. The cylindrical well was formed by rolling up a slab of clay and the slab overlaps on itself on purpose for a rustic hand-made appearance. There is also a strange organic shaped aperture on the side.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
