Brown Fold A

Handmade studio pottery, formed from a single slab. One flat sheet of clay, folded upon itself and manipulated while soft to create two joined vessels. The form retains the gesture of the fold - sharp edges, soft curves, and negative space between. Fine canvas texture across the surface with a dark, iron-rich glaze that breaks metallic on the edges. High-fired stoneware. Sculptural when empty, made for ikebana with two apertures for minimal arrangements.

Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
