Mustard Cylinder
A mustard ceramic vase with a barrel-form body and one side has an irregular slit near the aperture perimeter. The well fascia is ribbed and the well interior is glazed in a contrasting red. This is quite an unusual form for a vase. This kiln made very avant-garde forms last century and this strangeness is consistent with their modus operandi in strange vase design. The kiln name is stamped on the bottom.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. This piece shows some hard water stains in the bottom of the well.
