White Hiroshi

White Hiroshi

A white ceramic vase with a strongly sculptural silhouette and reduced geometric treatment. Its abstracted form gives the piece a distinctive modernist character. This was part of the Hiroshi Teshigahara series of white abstract Sogetsu iemoto vases and is marked on the base accordingly. These forms are coveted by Sogetsu ikebana community globally and becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.

Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
