Brown Stack

Brown Stack

Earth-toned ceramic is built into a compact stacked form, combining rounded volumes with a small upper opening. Brown and muted green tones articulate the separate sections of the vessel interior and exterior. This strange form was made by a now-defunct ikebana kiln in Tokoname and retains the original kiln sticker. Its assembled, almost totemic geometry gives the piece a distinctly sculptural modernist character.

Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
