Blue Ladder

Blue Ladder

Two upright wells are joined by a horizontal ceramic plane pierced by two openings running from front to back. Vivid blue glaze pools across the deeply ridged surface, emphasising the contrast between solid form and open space. Its paired-well construction recalls the bold modernist ikebana forms produced in the mid-twentieth century.

Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
