Conjoined dual-well ikebana vase from a rare now-defunct Japanese kiln. Speckled stoneware body with integrated tripod feet and repeating oval relief decoration. Distinctive parent-and-child form with strong mid-century modernist aesthetic. Retains the original kiln sticker. Underside of vase has a sticker denoting it was a graduation gift for the PTA of a Japanese high school.
Vintage condition consistent with age. Firing variations, glaze irregularities and kiln effects are inherent to handmade ceramics.
