A low kidney-shaped suiban with an irregular curved outline and a pale green-grey glaze. Its raised, textured rim and asymmetrical basin create distinct lines for low, directional arrangements. Well fascia features dripping green glaze and a manually incised horizontal line. Made by a now-defunct ikebana kiln and stamped accordingly on the base of one of the tripod feet. A stunning survivor model of an ikebana kiln which stopped production last century.
