A pentagonal vase with a faceted body and layered turquoise glaze. The crisp geometry contrasts with the softly varied blue-green surface, giving the vessel a distinctly architectural character. Some parts of the well fascia are left unglazed for a visual point of interest. The entire vessel is covered in controlled crazing and the artisan mark is stamped clearly to the base. The kiln is Kyoto based. This is a very large and heavy piece. A typical vase is 1kg and this piece is 4kg.
