A tall, narrow pail-form vase with a cylindrical body and oval opening. Deep blue-green glaze covers the upper section before fading into an earthy brown base which has been incised with crater-like indentations for a visual point of interest. The craters are concentrated on the bottom part of the vase to emphasise the vessel's elongated proportions. This was made by a Kyoto based artisan and is stamped on the base according. There is also black markings on the underside of the vase denoting previous ownership. This is a significantly large nageire vase weighing 2.9kg. A typical vase weighs 1kg.
