An original Tokoname vase from a now-defunct kiln, positioned squarely within the modernist ikebana aesthetic. Its trophy-like form combines a flared pedestal foot with a deep, triangular well whose three raised corners create a dynamic, folded rim. The finely mottled midnight-blue glaze pools into concentric rings across the interior, giving this understated specimen exceptional depth and finish. Retains the original kiln sticker in the well interior.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
