A single-bauble bud vase related to the larger Blue Caterpillar model, produced by the same now-defunct Tokoname kiln. Its spherical body, narrow upper aperture and graduated pale-yellow and blue glazing reflect the postmodern shift towards lighter forms, softer colours and a more playful contemporary aesthetic. This bauble is perched on tripod feet and is in the original colourway of blue and yellow.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
