A sculptural shallow container with an undulating and flared three-point rim and compact pedestal base. The glossy rust-brown interior contrasts with a coarse, dark exterior animated by pale sweeping glaze marks. Ikebana kiln stamp can be seen on the unglazed base.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. The photographs provide further detail on the individual character and condition of the piece.
