Blue Loop

A faceted sculptural loop-form vase with a circular lower body rising into a curved upright neck. Deep blue-grey glaze contrasts with the pale pink mouth, while incised concentric lines reinforce the continuous flowing construction. The original kiln sticker of this now-defunct kiln remains attached. This abstract form has two apertures and typified the abstraction and modernism which was prominent last century in ikebana forms.

Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. The photographs provide further detail on the individual character and condition of the piece.
