White Crown

A heavy, long and shallow ceramic container with a raised, crown-like rim and warm white textured glaze. The rhythmic peaks create an architectural, avant-garde silhouette designed for strongly directional arrangements. The glaze has controlled crazing all over and trademark tall unglazed ankles on the feet which was the trend in the middle of last century for heavy old ikebana vases.

Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. The photographs provide further detail on the individual character and condition of the piece.
