Black Twin Blade
A tall two-part ceramic vase formed from sharply tapered and faceted blade-like volumes in matte black. The split construction and aggressive asymmetry give it a distinctly avant-garde modernist presence.
This piece was made by a now-defunct kiln in Tokoname. This was an iconic design and is in remarkably good condition despite being decades old. It still retains the original kiln sticker. This is a rare survivor model and worth owning.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. The photographs provide further detail on the individual character and condition of the piece.
