Ivory Chalice
A tall chalice-shaped ikebana vase with a broad rounded bowl and elongated stem. Its pale, finely mottled surface softens the strong ceremonial silhouette and substantial vertical presence. This piece was made by a now-defunct ikebana kiln and was part of a beige series which was generous with proportions, weight, clay and glaze. It still retains the original kiln sticker.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. These qualities reflect the history and individual character of each piece.
