Green Drip

A broad suiban vase with a matte cream gritty aggregate textured body, irregular upper rim and vivid green glaze flowing down the fascia. The dramatic drip pattern and rugged surface give the form a bold modernist character. The interior well shows crackled glass glaze and the vessel is perched on splayed tripod feet. This was the quintessential look for modernist ikebana vases in the middle of last century.

Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
