Brown Hook

Brown Hook

A reddish brown hand made studio pottery ceramic vase with a strongly curved asymmetric profile and pronounced negative space. Its sweeping silhouette gives the piece an abstract, avant-garde character. The clay surface is incised around the aperture perimeter with a manually raked pattern. The glaze is purposefully uneven and dripping in areas and extends to inside the well.

Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
