Charcoal Crater
A low brown, green and blue ceramic vase with an irregular angular body, broad opening and mottled surface treatment. Its compressed geometry and rugged profile give the piece an abstract modernist character. The well sits on stubby tripod feet and the well interior has crackled glass glaze. The now-defunct kiln which produced this vase can also be seen stamped on one of the tripod feet.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
