Baby Blue Pedestal
Turquoise ceramic wraps around a broad circular body, with the opening incorporated into the rounded form. Glaze variation shifts across the curved surface and emphasises its volume. The well fascia has been crumped on purpose and a circular motif can be seen on the indented part of the well. Stamped to the base by a Kyoto based kiln known for ikebana vase production.
The near-geometric silhouette and concentrated mass give it an abstract modernist presence.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
