Baby Blue Parent & Child
Designed by Sofu Teshigahara, founder and first Iemoto of the Sogetsu school, this sculptural vase pairs two smooth, bulbous forms in the second iteration of his Parent & Child design. The earlier version was smaller and faceted. We have encountered this vintage model in black, white, baby blue, mustard and yellow. This vintage model comes with its original, well-worn and battered cardboard box. This model is well documented in Sogetsu ikebana publications throughout last century and now.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
