Brown Pedestal
A dark brown ceramic ikebana vase with a broad cylindrical bowl, rectangular manually incised relief motifs and a tall tapered pedestal. Its original battered retail red box is included. The now-defunct kiln which made it is clearly stamped to the base. This retro form and splayed conical leg is a staple of pedestal ikebana vases from the middle of last century.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
