Rounded Owl Bookends
A pair of vintage Japanese cast iron owl bookends with broad circular bodies, raised eyes and small feet resting on curved bases. Charcoal-black surfaces and brown metallic highlights emphasise the rounded brows and lightly modelled wings. Their flat backs and weighted bases combine a useful book support with a compact animal sculpture. Sold as a pair.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, finish and patina variation, casting irregularities, mould seams, minor rust or oxidation, staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
