Rounded Owl Bookends
A vintage Japanese cast iron bookend pair formed as perched owls with rounded bodies, raised eyes and pierced side openings, set on oval bases. Blackened finish with light surface patina. Mid-century modern Takaoka form in the style of Tadahiro Baba, sold as a matched pair.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, finish and patina variation, casting irregularities, mould seams, minor rust or oxidation, staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
