Yellow Cascade
Yellow Cascade
A bright yellow cascade vase formed from three offset cylindrical containers at different heights. The separate openings allow flowers and trailing materials to be arranged across multiple levels. It was made by a now-defunct and highly coveted twentieth-century ikebana kiln, whose name is manually incised on the base in stylised kanji. The kiln was known for avant-garde vessels that pushed ceramic forms to extremes, and this model displays that characteristic strangeness. Weighing 3.5 kg—roughly equivalent to three typical vases—it has a notably substantial presence. Its unusual construction and scale give it strong sculptural impact.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
