Green Tsubo
A rounded green tsubo vase with a broad body, short neck and circular opening. Radiating bands in green, turquoise and earthy brown divide the surface into irregular panels and emphasise its full spherical form. The Tokoname based ikebana kiln name is firmly stamped to the underside. This kiln fired vases for close to a century and ceased operations. The kiln made many iconic designs and Japan Modern features many for sale. The vase has a copper lined bamboo insert in the vase which is not original.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
