Arguably the most recognised form in the modernist ikebana genre. I coined the moniker “Bison Vase” in 2019 after encountering its muscular silhouette; the name has since entered the global vernacular among ikebana practitioners, dealers and collectors. Produced by a now-defunct kiln, this vase model will appear on the cover of my forthcoming book about modernist ikebana vases.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
