A closely related Shigaraki-ware model, formed as a large-scale continuous well with a more deeply folded, asymmetrical horseshoe profile and sharply rising pointed ends. The coarse ivory glaze creates a granular, stone-like surface, crossed by a sweeping passage of exposed reddish-brown clay.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
