Brown Sphere
A hand made studio pottery Shigaraki-ware vase with a coarse, mineral-rich body and characteristic olive-green natural ash effects. This vessel has an irregular cut-away opening which has been purposefully collapsed on one side and layered horizontal striations around the body. The earthy glaze variation and asymmetrical spherical form create a strong rustic character.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
