Brown Bridge
A long, shallow ikebana container composed of layered, irregular horizontal ridges around a recessed cream-glazed well. Its low, fragmented silhouette has an abstract, architectural timber character. This now-defunct ikebana kiln used to manually incise their vases on the bottom. The three kanji varied widely from tightly written naive small font to wildly cursive and stylised calligraphy-like font.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
