Black Fin
A tall asymmetrical ikebana vase rising into a narrow point, with a small triangular flower aperture cut into the upper body. Dry charcoal glaze and dense vertical striations give the piece a severe brutalist character. This abstract model is stamped and manually incised by the artisan. This is a genuinely strange piece which resists obvious explanation.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time.
