Brown Bean
A substantial hand-built studio pottery vase with a bean-like silhouette, rhythmic incised contour lines and two unusual triangular apertures cut into the upper surface. The apertures allow stems to emerge at opposing angles, while the dense, architectural form gives this strange model a powerful sculptural presence. Artisan signed to the base and obviously slab built by hand. This is a substantial piece in terms of weight and scale. Please view and grasp the weight and dimensions when considering purchase.
