A significant signed ceramic vase with an exceptionally severe rectilinear form, vast framed void and two incongruously splayed stubby feet. Its dry-textured surface shifts between cool grey and pale green, divided by a single wavering gold stripe. The unlikely combination of monumental geometry, muted two-tone glaze and delicate metallic detail gives the piece a distinctly strange, avant-garde presence. Artisan-signed to the base.
