An elongated shallow pedestal container with stepped ends and a deeply notched rim. Vertical incisions articulate the exterior beneath a mottled ochre and olive glaze. Perfectly imperfect in every way and boldy modernist in form. These matte glazed brutalist vessels are what attracts many ceramic enthusiasts to the modernist ikebana genre.
Vintage pieces may show signs of age and prior use, including surface wear, glaze variation, firing irregularities, kiln marks, minor staining and other characteristics acquired over time. The photographs provide further detail on the individual character and condition of the piece.
